I personally feel that before joining CCS internship program, I wasn’t aware of many things that a citizen should know about his country, but now I think I am a better informed citizen. Today, I can change the world to make it a better place. It actually infuses a spirit in the youth to bring changes in the society for good. Priyanka Maheshwari

Introduction
These just give a glimpse into researching reality! The CCS Researching Reality Internship experience! The objective of the internship program is to engage youth with society through real-life understanding of social and economic issues via training in the skills of research, analysis, writing, and above all critical thinking.
One set of core objectives of the CCS Internship are:
- Ability to understand the impact of public policy on citizens
- Ability to understand and critically evaluate public policy from a rational perspective
- Awareness of a liberal approach to public policy
To help you get started on the above, we have put together a list of selected readings of various books and articles that will allow you to assimilate policy concepts crucial to your theoretical background for undertaking public policy research. Remember you need not agree with all of them. However using these ideation tools will enhance your critical thinking and the quality of your research paper.
Moreover, since the theme of this year’s internship will mostly revolve around education, we have provided you with some very important material which we urge you to critically read before coming for the orientation program. We have also provided some resources in the sectors of livelihood and governance for those interested in conducting research in this area.
